Time for the Monday Flashback, where we bring you all the news we missed last week and links to everything we didn’t–just in case you did.

Last week we got a chance to meet the new assassin, Aveline de Granpré, from Assassins Creed II: Liberation and some of her many personas. Two gangs have gone to war on the PlayStation Home in the new FTP shooter uproar and SEGA announced they will be bringing several ‘fighter’ classics back to life via PSN.

What we missed this week:

Pure Chess
Feel like the standard chess pieces are a drag, then download the new Battalion DLC (pictured below) and get your game on in style. If you love the music in Pure Chess, then you’re in luck, the soundtrack is now available on PSN to download for just £3.99, bringing you the “sounds of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Satie.

Model 2 Collection from SEGA (The Six Axis)
SEGA has been on a roll releasing classics from their vault, with such high fan acceptance of recently released titles Sonic Adventure and NiGHTS into Dreams, why ould they stop. Their not, they have now announced the Model2 Collection coming to PSN. This seems to be a “fighter” based collection, that is a direct port of the original titles–sorry no HD. Their are five games in total: Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, Sonic the Fighters, Virtua Striker and Virtua On, all releasing over the next few months and expected to cost around $9.99 each.

First FTP shooter hits ‘Home’ (PlayStation Blog)
You read that right, as if free-to-play games being available via the PlayStation Store wasn’t enough, now you can find them in your PlayStation home. Uproar is a new third-person shooter, that allows you to use your avatar to fight the good fight. All weapons and upgrades can be purchased with real money or unlocked just by playing the game. Check out the release trailer below, and make sure to watch for our hands on quick look.

Assassins Creed III: Liberation (PlayStation Blog)
Meet the many sides of Aveline de Granpré, the new assassin in Liberation. Coming from both French and African decedents, you get to see what makes her so successful at what she does: killing people.
